If you want to be among the first to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, be on your computer Friday. Screencrush reports, and we can confirm, that theaters around the country have been contacted by Disney to prepare to sell advanced tickets for the film this Friday, October 16.
There’s no specific time yet revealed when they’ll go on sale, but it may be noon EST. Or it could be Monday. They just have to be ready by Friday.
When tickets do go on sale, they’ll be for screenings of the film starting at 7pm on December 17 through January 3. In addition, you’ll be able to get a tickets for a seven movie marathon, from The Phantom Menace to The Force Awakens, which will start at 4am and conclude with a 7pm screening. The movie then runs 136 minutes.
Oh, and rumor has it, Disney will celebrate ticket sales even bigger on Monday the 19th, by premiering a new, final trailer for the film during Monday Night Football on ESPN.
