Great Scott! Check Out Some Never-Before-Seen Photos from the Official Back to the Future Art Book

We’re only a few days away from the day Marty and Doc arrived in 2015 and things are about to get very Back to the Future. Online, in stores, basically everywhere, fans will soon be celebrating the great film series.

Among the new pieces of merch that are being tied to this unique anniversary is the release of Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History. Written by Michael Klastorin with Randal Atamaniuk, it features a foreword by Michael J. Fox, preface by Christopher Lloyd, introduction by Bob Gale and afterword by Robert Zemeckis.

How can you have a foreword, preface AND introduction? Who knows, but those are the four names among names in Back to the Future, proving how legit this book really is.

Basically, this book is heavy, figuratively and literally. It’s a 224 page, hardcover look back at the entire history of the franchise. Naturally, it’s filled with beautiful behind-the-scenes photos, storyboards, concept art and brand new exclusive interviews with almost everyone involved in the franchise (Elijah Wood? Yes. Tom Wilson? No.), but that’s not all this book has in store.

Every few pages, there are unique inserts fans can pull out. Examples include a lenticular of Marty’s family photo, a “Save the Clock Tower” flyer (with Jennifer’s number on the back), the letter Doc sends to Marty from 1885, a Jaws 19 poster, the original sketch of the Flux Capacitor, the book jacket to A Match Made In Space and much, much more. The book is worth it for those inserts alone.

So do you want to see what we mean? Of course you do. Here are eight images from the book, which we’re exclusively debuting here, some of which are never-before-seen.
