When you hear Ash vs. Evil Dead, you know who the star of the show is. It’s Bruce Campbell in the role that made him a cult icon: the chainsaw-armed, wise-cracking, shotgun-toting Ash Williams. But there’s more to a TV show than just one character.
In this new featurette, we meet the supporting characters of Ash’s new world. His sidekicks, his enemies, and the rest of the people who have a part to play in this latest battle between everyone’s favorite retail employee and the demons of the Necronomicon.
Here’s the rundown. There Lucy Lawless as Ruby, “a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks.” Ray Santiago plays Pablo Simon Bolivar, “an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick.” Dana DeLorenzo is Kelly Maxwell, “a moody wild child trying to outrun her past.” And finally, Jill Marie Jones plays Amanda Fisher, “a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of her partner.”
Set thirty years after the events of The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, Ash vs. Evil Dead premieres on Starz Halloween Night. Sam Raimi executive produces, and also directed the pilot.
