The Force Awakens Invades These Classic Star Wars Card Designs

Tomorrow, March 12, marks the official one-year anniversary of the popular app Star Wars Card Trader, and to mark the occasion characters and images from The Force Awakens are taking over.

Topps has “revisited” several of the app’s original, more famous designs with Force Awakens characters, and will be releasing the new cards in the app starting at 12am EST Saturday morning. There are five versions of each card, including free ones for every person who opens the app this weekend. Here are a few of the images.

In the one year Star Wars Card Trader has been around, 225 million packs have been opened, revealing over 1 billion cards in almost 10,000 designs. And if you think this all sounds really stupid, or you don’t get it, trust us. We understand. Here’s our explanation:
