It’s called Invisible ... any guesses? The show’s logline is amusingly vague, referencing only a NYC family that built an empire thanks to a certain “extraordinary ability” passed down through generations. Based on the title, we’re probably not talking time travel, super strength, or flight.
Anyway, one cool thing about this show that’s most likely, I mean how could it not be, about invisibly-gifted people is that it’ll be directed by Doug Liman, who made Edge of Tomorrow and The Bourne Identity (he’ll also soon be doing X-Men flick Gambit and Tom-Cruise-on-the-moon actioner Luna Park). Another cool thing: Invisible will be the first scripted virtual reality series.
More from Deadline, which broke the story:
For generations, the dynastic Ashland family has passed on a gene that gives them an extraordinary ability, which has enabled them to accumulate vast amounts of power and wealth. As the modern generation faces diminished abilities and more scrutiny than ever before, the birth of an exceptional new child draws public interest and their family secret teeters on the brink of becoming exposed.
The series will premiere on the Samsung Milk VR platform, which will be followed by Jaunt’s VR apps and companion content on CNE’s The Scene.
