The New Ghostbusters Villain Might Come From A Very Familiar Source

Another potential name for Felicity Jones’ Rogue One character hits the web. Anthony Mackie has high praise for Civil War. Robbie Amell is unsure how he’ll return to The Flash again. Agents of SHIELD teases a member of the Secret Warrior. Plus, new pictures from Batman v Superman, and what’s to come on iZombie. Spoilers Now!

Ghostbusters

Images from this past weekend’s Toy Fair in New York of Mattel’s Ghostbusters toy line features what is allegedly a toy of the film’s main villain: the actual ghost from the Ghostbuster’s own iconic logo.

Although it’s rarely helpful to put stock in movie toy lines when it comes to discerning information about an upcoming movie, the idea of Ghostbusters telling the story of how they got their own logo (or, given the fact that we’ve seen them using the famous logo already, it coming to life á la Stay Puft Marshmallow Man) is an intriguing one.

Ant-Man and The Wasp

Writer Adam McKay has confirmed to Nerdist that he will be involved in the follow up to Ant-Man.

Deadpool 2

Ryan Reynolds already has an update on the sequel’s script:

We are on a script, we are well into a script.

Star Wars: Rogue One

After reporting that her name could possibly be Lysa, Making Star Wars is reporting that Felicity Jones’ character might actually be named “Jyn”. Take this all with a pinch of salt.

Captain America: Civil War

Anthony Mackie is unsurprisingly full of praise for the movie:

It’ll be very different because… I feel the best Marvel movies thus far have been Winter Soldier and Iron Man. And I think this movie far surpasses those two movies. I think the Russo brothers and Marvel have done a very good job with upping the ante every movie. And this one definitely does not fail to live up to that.

Transformers Bumblebee Spinoff

The recently announced Bumblebee spinoff—that will be one of three new Transformers films released in the next few years—will apparently not be directed by Michael Bay, and will be filmed for a lower budget than past Transformers films, according to Paramount Pictures chairman and CEO Brad Grey:

There are characters in the Transformers universe that can be and should be made into their own movies. We will make the first movie with Michael and go right into a Bumblebee movie, which will be at a lower cost.

The Flash

Robbie Amell discusses why he left the show—and how likely it is he’ll return as Ronnie Raymond:

The main thing behind that was the timing didn’t work out for me for Legends of Tomorrow to shoot it, and…Firestorm had to be a part of that show. And it couldn’t be me, so the idea was that I had to die and they introduced a new Firestorm. And then they just kept getting annoying emails from me asking when I was going to be brought back. So, um…I’m just going to see how long that works.

I truly believe that Ronnie from Earth-1 is dead. I think you can only sacrifice yourself so many times without actually dying.

Once Upon A Time

Here’s a synopsis for the show’s 100th episode, “Souls of the Departed”:

Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold arrive in the Underworld, on a mission to rescue Hook, only to discover that their search will be more difficult than they had anticipated. The inhabitants of the Underworld—all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas—hound our heroes at every turn. Meanwhile, in an Enchanted Forest flashback, a familiar face from the Evil Queen’s past returns to present Regina with the perfect birthday gift, on the 100th episode of “Once Upon a Time.”
