This New Predator Image Could Be the Start of Something Big

Years after battling Arnold, Aliens and Danny Glover, there’s a new Predator movie in the works. If you weren’t aware, that’s because very little has been made official about it outside of a few insider quotes. Then today, a new image popped up on Facebook which seems to be teasing some kind of announcement... and a title.

Here’s the image.

This New Predator Image Could Be the Start of Something Big

It looks cool, right? He’s got that unmistakable, if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it look, a decent catch phrase, and maybe even a new title, The Predator. Everything here looks good.

And though the Facebook image is captioned with the seemingly lame phrase, “Here we go again, bro,” don’t worry. The Predator didn’t get a tight white t-shirt or something. It’s a play on a line of dialogue from the original, 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger film directed by John McTiernan.

The new film is co-written by Shane Black and Fred Dekkar, who have a pretty good track record. In addition to being one of the supporting actors in the first Predator film, Black also worked a bit on that script. Plus he wrote Lethal Weapon, The Last Boy Scout and more recently, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. And of course, he directed Iron Man 3. Dekkar is best known for directing Night of the Creeps and The Monster Squad, the latter of which he wrote with—you guessed it—Shane Black.

A few months back, Dekkar posted that their script for a new Predator movie had been handed in to the studio. That was the last we’d heard of it but this image suggests maybe we’ll be getting more information soon. At the very least, it seems like it’s going to be called The Predator.
