Every modem rental fee you pay to your ISP is padding for their bottom line, and a total rip-off for you. Fortunately, you can buy your own modem for a small upfront cost in today’s Amazon Gold Box, and recoup the cost in savings on your monthly bill. [Motorola Modems on Sale at Woot]

There’s a general consensus that Motorola’s SB6141 is the best modem for most cable internet subscribers, but it usually runs in the $80-$90 range. Today only though, you can score a refurb from Woot for $55 shipped, which is within $5 of the best price we’ve ever seen. [Refurb Motorola SB6141 Modem, $55]

You can also opt to save $10 with the lower-end SB6121, which maxes out at 172mbps downstream vs. 343. Personally, I’d just spend the ten extra dollars and hope that your ISP increases their speeds some day. [Refurb Motorola SB6121 Modem, $45]

And if you just want one box to act as your modem and your wireless router, the SURFboard SBG6782-AC is basically an SB6141 with an 802.11ac router built in. That’s fine for a small apartment, but I’d probably recommend a discrete, more powerful router for anything larger. [Refurb Motorola SURFboard SBG6782-AC Modem/Router, $135]

We see ~$20 Bluetooth speakers with some regularity, but the Urge Basics Cuatro has particularly good reviews, and comes in five different colors (the four above, plus orange). No matter which one you like the best, they’re all just $19 right now, an all-time low. [Urge Basics Cuatro Bluetooth Speaker, $19 with code SB86FHRN]

We’ve seen a handful of sub-$20 Bluetooth speakers, but not many of them can join you in the shower. The Omaker M4 can do just that thanks to its IP54-rated splash resistance, and still deliver up to 12 hours of playtime on a single charge. That’s perfect if you like to sing in the shower, or just need to catch up on your podcast queue. [Omaker M4 Portable Bluetooth 4.0 Outdoors/Shower Speaker, $19 with code ARMYGNM4]

If you’ve ever spent more than 5 seconds sorting through your mismatched leftover containers to find the right lid, it’s time to throw them all out and upgrade to this 42-piece Rubbermaid system.

The set comes with 21 containers in six different sizes, and yet you only have to deal with three different sizes of lids, making it much easier to find the right one. Personally, I prefer glass storage sets like this one from Pyrex, but if you want to maximize the number of containers you get for your money, this is your best bet.
